Culligan Drinking Water
Culligan bottled water products are protected by a multiple-barrier approach
that includes such steps as source protection and monitoring, and treatment
such as reverse osmosis, micron filtration, ozonation, carbon filtration, and/or
distillation.
Culligan Premium Drinking Water is derived from an approved source and
then purified by a six stage filtration process. This multiple stage process includes
pre-carbon filtration, ion exchange, particulate filtration, reverse osmosis,
post-carbon filtration, and micron filtration. The result is drinking water that
qualifies as purified by the United States Pharmacopeia.
Culligan Spring Water comes to the bottling facility in sanitary food grade
tankers from a protected certified spring source that is monitored daily. The
spring water is filtered through a one micron filtration process.
Culligan Distilled Water is derived from an approved source and heated to
produce steam. The dissolved solids are left behind and the steam is condensed
for a pure, mineral free, distilled product.
All of our bottled water products are ozonated. We use ozone instead of
chlorine because it leaves no residual and it does not cause a taste or odor
problem. Ozone is oxygen (O3 to be exact), which is bubbled through the water
just before it goes into a clean, sanitized bottle. Within a few hours after the bottle
has been filled and capped, the ozone dissipates or converts to the same form of
oxygen that we breathe (O2).
If you aren't receiving your water from Culligan, ask your supplier if their bottler
is IBWA certified. You deserve the quality assurance you'll get with Culligan's
IBWA certified bottled water products.
